Remington Model 24 Browning Semi Auto 22 LR Take-Down Rifle Made 1930

This Remington model 24 was made in 1930 (code PY) and is a close copy of the Browning SA 22 rifle that is still in production today. A great design that Remington was able to license from Browning because they hadnít ticked off olí John like Winchester had. It features a 21-1/2Ē round barrel with bead front sight and adjustable rear sight, tube feed thru the butt stock, bottom ejection, take-down, cross bolt safety and walnut stocks with steel butt plate. It retains about 90% original blue with most of the loss on the left side of the receiver where a scope mount had been mounted while the bore is perfectly bright, mirror smooth and shiny with strong, sharp rifling and the stocks are sound with a repaired chip at the lower right front of the butt where it meets the receiver and scattered light to moderate handling marks Ė they donít appear to have been sanded. The barrel and receiver serial numbers match. A really nice example of a fine rifle that has an unusually perfect bore which is seldom found in any 22 from the early 20th century. Itíll make you happy too. If you have questions please email us at This will be listed for auction on Gun Broker the evening of April 20th.
