Argentine 1909 Mauser Carbine FMAP DGFM 7.65 Matching Numbers Perfect Bore

Manufactured at FMAP in Rosairo under the auspices of the DGFM between 1947 and 1959 this Argentine 1909 Cavalry carbine has matching serial numbers on the bolt and receiver (not force matched) (nothing else numbered) and features a 21.5 barrel chambered for the 7.65X53 cartridge and the distinctive, hearty protective front sight ears integral with the forend cap. The rear sight is graduated to 1400 meters and the carbine was rearsonalized just before leaving service showing an arsenal dovetailed repair to the butt while the receiver and bolt were polished bright and other metal blued. It retains more than 98% finish with a small patch of tiny dings on the top of the barrel near the handguard and slight edge thinning on the guard bow while the bright areas are 100% bright and the bore is virtually perfect and we think this rifle might have received a new barrel when it was rearsonalized just before leaving service (it looks like a new bore). The stock is sound and has very few handling marks for an old warrior like this. There are tiny import marks on the right of the receiver bridge. A very nice example of a neat military carbine from a country well-known for its exceedingly good taste in military firearms.
