Winchester Model 1200 US Military 12 Ga Vietnam Jungle Combat Shotgun

The US military bought a small number of these shoguns during 1968 and 1969 for use in the steamy jungles of Vietnam where GIs and Marines made very effective use of them. The guns were US marked on both receiver and barrel, finished in a phosphate coating, 20 cylinder bored barrel, dull oil finished walnut stocks, sling swivels and most notable; a ventilated handguard with bayonet lug for mounting the M1917 bayonet with its formidable 17 long blade (the enemy hated this thing). This example retains more than 98% original finish with some slight edge thinning on the guard bow and magazine tube as well as a few scattered scratches while the bore is a perfect mirror and the stocks are completely sound with no handling marks and a thin BB written in felt tip on the right butt. After serving our combat troops faithfully and effectively only a few escaped the reward of destruction at the hands of the bureaucrats after Vietnam. Its obvious that its been only lightly used and is the best specimen of the few surviving examples weve ever seen.
