Colt 1902 Military 38 ACP Pistol Made 1916

This is one of the highest cool factor pistols ever made and was a significant evolutionary milestone in John Browning’s design journey to the 1911. It was made in 1916 (SN 38311) and features a 6” barrel, fixed sights, grasping grooves at rear of slide, spur hammer (standard after 1908), checkered hard rubber grips with rampant colt logo and lanyard ring at the left heel. The original magazine is marked “MIL / COLT / 38 CAL” on the floor plate. It retains 98% of a professional reblue that lightened some of the markings somewhat (all are clearly legible) and there is some old, fine pitting (that they rightfully chose not to buff out before rebluing) along the left of the slide at where the top radius meets the slab side. The bore is evenly frosted and the rifling somewhat worn but strong enough to impart a spin with no problem while the breech face and surrounding areas of the slide are free of any form of pitting and the original grips are completely sound with no cracks, chips or flatted points. A very nice 1902 Military Colt that will catch every eye at the range. If you have questions please email us at This will be listed for auction on Gun Broker the evening of December 9th.
