Smith & Wesson Model 10 M&P Nickel 38 Spl In Box

This model 10-5 was made in 1973-4 (SN D563989) and features a 4Ē pinned barrel, fixed sights, factory nickel finish, case colored hammer and trigger and checkered walnut grips with silver medallions and it comes in its factory serialized box with papers, cleaning rod and brush. It retains about 98% original finish with some kind of tarnish or something on the right rear of the frame (we canít figure it out) while the bore is perfect and the grips are nearly so with a little finish loss on near the butt of the left panel. Both grip panels have the last three digits of the serial number penned on the inside. The hammer and trigger retain about 98% vibrant case color with a few small rust spots on the right side of the hammer. The action works perfectly and lock-up is tight as a bank vault with zero lateral play and zero end play. The box is sound with some soiling and a couple of spots of finish loss. An iconic firearm in excellent condition that was made to a level of quality that canít be even be approached by todayís high volume manufacturers.
