J. Marlin NEVER MISS Derringer 32 RF Antique

Made from 1870-1881 with only about 2600 being made in 32 caliber makes this little fella kinda scarce. It features a 2-1/2Ē barrel with brass front blade can be swung to the side when unlocked by the button at the underside of the frame which action also cams the extractor out. A brass frame with birdís head grip and rosewood grip panels completes the package. The barrel is gray patina with scattered brown and black patina while the bore is slightly pitted with fading rifling and the frame is a nice mustard color with scattered very light handling marks and scratches. The grips are sound with scattered light handling marks and scratches, a thin crack from the left screw hole to the heel and a small chip at the toe and some battering on both panels at the bottom of the toe. The frame is also slightly battered there but the serial number that matches that of the barrel can still be made out. 1/8th cock and full cock hold strongly but there doesnít seem to be a half cock (donít know if there ever was), the push-button works perfectly and the extractor cams out as it should. A very nice old across-the-card-table pistol that, because of its scarcity, will only appreciate in coming years and because itís an antique, it probably wonít get caught in the confiscation net that seems to be getting ready to be thrown.
