Smith & Wesson I K J 22/32 Kit Gun 22 LR Who Knows?

We couldn’t find a match with the details of this very nice 22 with any of the descriptions in our books or on the net. So we’ll just give you the details and you can figure it out. It has a 4” ribbed and pinned barrel with 1/10” front blade, fully adjustable micrometer rear sight held with one screw, six shot cylinder with recessed charge holes, 3 screw frame, flat latch, ribbed trigger, wide hammer spur, round butt and in the crane cut is a K next to a circled 5, over 71328 over 9 while the crane has the same long number plus a G and an M. The serial number on the butt is 29935 (no prefix or suffix) which is echoed on the ejector star and cylinder while the bottom of the barrel is unmarked. In any case it is a kit gun all day long and in beautiful condition retaining about 98% original blue with some edge thinning and a thin cylinder line while the bore is perfect and the hammer and trigger retain about 90% case color. The great Fitz TEN-GRIP checkered boot grips are completely sound and in excellent condition. (I had the great pleasure of talking with Mr. Fitz long ago and found him to be quite a gentleman. He was certainly a pioneer in the grip industry.) A very nice kit gun with a beautiful pair of scarce grips.
