L.C. Smith Hunter Arms O Grade 12 Ga Shotgun LC

This LC Smith / Hunter Arms O grade 12 gauge shotgun was made in 1909 (SN 324196) and features 30” barrels with 2-3/4” chambers and full chokes, case colored frame and side plates, hand checkered walnut stocks with grip cap, ebony forend tip inlay and automatic safety. The barrels are marked “LONDON STEEL” under the forend. It retains about 65% blue with scattered scratches and dings and fading to brown and gray patina while the bores are about 70% smooth and shiny and 30% scattered patches of light to moderate pitting. There are a couple of dents in the right tube about 8” from the muzzle (see photo). The frame and side plates retain only vestiges of case color and are shades of gray patina with some scattered oxidation spotting. The stocks are sound with scattered light to moderate handling marks with a few more pronounced ones here and there. The action is 100% on-face and lock-up is tight as a bank vault with zero play (tested with the forend removed) and the top lever comes to rest to the right of center.
