ELCAN C79 Canadian Military Combat Rifle Sight

ELCAN (Ernst Leitz Canada) is a Canadian optics and electronics company owned by American defense contractor Raytheon. They are best known for making the 3.4x28 power ELCAN C79 optical sight that is widely used on the Diemaco C7, FN MINIMI, FN MAG and CZ-805 BREN families of firearms and can be found on military service weapons around the world. The C79 sight is intended to be mounted on a variety of rifles and to be used by regular infantrymen as well as designated marksmen. The sight is nitrogen-purged to prevent fogging and is covered with an armored coating of rubber. It can be mounted to a variety of rifles and light machine guns using the M1913 Picatinny rail mounting system. It is in excellent condition retaining 99% finish while the optics are perfect - crystal clear and bright, sharply framing the reticle (which is much larger in person than in the photo) and all controls work as they should. The internal tritium light source has faded and can be replaced by Armament Technologies, Inc. for a fee. A great scope with a huge field of view making it one of the most effective combat optics ever made.
