Remington Factory Presentation 1891 Mosin Nagant Extraordinary Un-Numbered New Un-Fired 7.62X54R

This is the most unusual 1891 Mosin Nagant weíve ever seen. It is a Remington WWI contract rifle made to an extraordinary level of quality and finish. The stock is a beautiful fiddle back grain for its entire length with a hand rubbed oil finish, the sling slot plates are polished bright with all screws indexed, cleaning rod is polished bright, bands are high polish blued and bolt and trigger are high polished bright. On all other parts itís obvious that extra polishing care was taken. Most interesting of all is that there is no serial number assigned on the receiver ring under the date of 1917. It was obviously made as a presentation to for a notable personage of some stripe but was never presented. Somehow, it left the factory and these many decades later, itís here, now, for you. It is un-fired (we used a Hawkeye bore scope and found a pristine, new bore) and retains a strong 98% blue with some loss on the outermost surfaces of the bands and a little thinning near the muzzle while the bolt is 98% bright with some oxidation spotting mostly on the bolt handle and the stock is completely sound with a very thinly scattered smattering of very light handling marks and three deep punch marks on the right butt (they look like they were made with a nail point long ago). An extraordinary Mosin Nagant for the exceptional collection. If you have questions please email us at This will be listed for auction on Gun Broker the evening of March 4th.
