Iranian Persian Mauser Bayonet & Scab Excellent

This is the long sword bayonet made by the Czech’s for Iran in the early 1930’s and used on all the Mauser iterations fielded by the troubled country. It is superbly made and features a 15-3/4” blade with all metal finished bright and walnut scales. It is in excellent condition with some very slight oxidation spotting on the blade, which has its original unsharpened edge, the hilt has a little brown patina, the scales are sound with scattered handling marks and the latch works perfectly. The scabbard retains 98% original blue with some very thinly scattered tiny oxidation spots and no dents. There’s a small circled “Z” near the throat (for Zbrojevka) and the pommel is marked with a serial number in Farsi under a crown. A scarce bayonet in condition that’s very hard to top.
