M-1867 Danish Remington Rolling Block 11.7x51R

The model 1867 rolling block rifle used by Denmark was originally chambered for a rimfire cartridge and later modified to fire the centerfire 11.7-51R cartridge. They left the breech block with the original rimfire firing pin hole and made it so the rifle could be easily converted back to rimfire if that ammo was all that was available. This example was made by the Danes at Kjobenhavns Toihuus in 1884 as evidenced by the markings on the upper tang. It features a 35.7 barrel with bayonet lug/bar for accepting the wicked looking Yataghan sword bayonet (not included), rear sight graduated to 1500 meters, three bands, cleaning rod, artic birch stocks and sling swivels. The metal is a fairly uniform gray patina with blended light brown here and there while the bore is perfectly bright, smooth and shiny with strong, sharp rifling and the stocks are completely sound with only a very few light handling marks. The stock and receiver serial numbers match (nothing else is numbered). A really terrific condition long fellow with a perfect bore that will surprise and amaze observers at the range.
