Marlin 1894 Lever Action 44-40 WCF Rifle Made 1895

The Marlin 1894 was superior to any of the offerings of Winchester by a long shot and is one of the finest lever actions ever designed. This example was made in 1895 (SN 121699) and features a 24 full octagon barrel with correct Marlin sights and full magazine. It is a fairly uniform medium brown patina with gray highlights and scattered rust spotting while the bore is about 50% scattered light to moderate pitting and 50% smooth with strong, sharp rifling and the stocks are completely sound with scattered light to heavy handling marks with a few small gouges and two shallow chips at the right rear of the forend. The action seems to work perfectly. The lever screw has been buggered by someone in the distant past. A classic old fella ready and able to bring down what ya need to.
