Winchester 1894 38-55 Rifle Made 1901 Excellent

This Winchester 1894 was made in 1901 (SN 228199) chambered for the fantastic 38-55 cartridge and featuring a 26” full octagon barrel, full magazine, original sights and walnut stocks with crescent butt plate. It appears to be in original configuration right down to the checkered panel on the hammer being curved on top and bottom. It retains about 90% original blue on the barrel and magazine with some edge thinning and a few rub marks, dings and scratches while the receiver, forend cap and butt plate are mixed gray and brown patina with some blue and there’s a patch of light pitting on the left side of the receiver. The bore is excellent, bright, smooth and shiny with strong, sharp rifling and the stocks are completely sound with 99% of a well-done refinish executed sometime in the distant past (the stocks are still slightly proud to the wood in many areas). A really nice condition 1989 (especially the bore) chambered for the old faithful of the cartridge world.
