Colt Arkansas Sesquicentennial SAA Frontier Scout

This is one of the Colt Arkansas Territory Sesquicentennial Single Action Frontier Scout 22 LR pistols made in 1969 which have appreciated over 500% in value since their issue. Most commemoratives donít do as well. It is number 3265 of only 3500 made and it features a 4-3/4Ē barrel, polished aluminum frame, loading gate and grip frame and laminated rosewood grips with gold medallion. It comes in its blond wood presentation case lined with red felt and satin and featuring brass hinges and lock (with key) and inlayed medallion. It retains 100% finish with an almost invisible very thin cylinder line (not thru the finish) and rather than risk disturbing any finish by removing the cylinder we inspected the bore with a Hawkeye bore scope and found it to be perfect, as are the grips. The box is completely sound with a few scattered dings and scratches and some waxy red material on one end (we were able to remove a little with a finger nail). The cylinder face shows that it has been fired but we think it was just one cylinder full (six shots). A neat collectable Colt that can only continue to appreciate in value.
