Winchester Model 12 Pump Shotgun 20 Ga 28” Full

The Model 12 was the first successful internal hammer slide action shotgun and was based in part on the John M. Browning 1897 design. Beautifully made from machined forgings and known for its durability, reliability, elegant lines and superb handling characteristics, it’s no wonder it had a production run of over a half century finally being discontinued only because of its cost to manufacture. This example was made in 1962 (SN 1939662) and features a 28” barrel with 2-3/4” chamber and full choke (fixed), take-down, wide round grooved forend, cross bolt safety and walnut stocks with Winchester lightning logo checkered butt plate. It retains a strong 98% of a very high quality professional re-blue with most of the loss being action thinning on the magazine tube while the bore is a perfect mirror and the stocks are completely sound with very thinly scattered light handling marks except along the toe line where they’re more prevalent (classic safe queen marks). The wood is proud to the metal and doesn’t look like it’s been refinished. Serial numbers match and all markings are correct for the serial number. A very handsome example of a great shotgun that is still among the very best in the world. If you have questions please email us at This will be listed for Gun Broker the evening of October 1st.
