Smith Corona 1903A3 Springfield 30-06 Rifle 1943

This Smith Corona 1903A3 rifle was made in August of 1943 according to the barrel date which matches the serial number period. The other markings are the firing proof on the wrist, cluster of inspection marks in front of the bottom metal, D on the side of the front sight blade and R on inside of the extractor and bolt handle root. It retains about 85% metal finish with most of the loss on the bolt body and handle while the four groove bore is 95% mirror smooth and shiny with strong, sharp rifling and just a hint of frosting in the middle of the grooves (grades Excellent) and the stock is completely sound with about average handling marks for an arm such as this. It comes with an almost new condition GI sling (not Korean or aftermarket). A very nice Smith Corona with an unusually fine bore. Its bound to impress on the firing line as well as downrange on the paper. If you have questions please email us at This will be listed for Gun Broker the evening of July 30th.
