Imperial P.08 DWM Luger Matching 9mm 1916

This Imperial German Luger was made in 1916 by DWM and had the opportunity to fight in both world wars. All parts, including the grip panels share the last two digits of the serial on the frame, barrel and barrel extension (9510b) except the magazine which has 5907k on the bottom. It is in excellent condition retaining about 93% finish with generalized edge thinning and a little scattered tiny rust spotting on the front and back straps and less so elsewhere while the bore is mostly smooth and shiny with strong, sharp rifling and a faint frosted line down the middle of each groove and there’s about 50% straw color remaining collectively and the grips are completely sound with no cracks or chips and relatively few flatted points. A really fine example of the P.08 that Imperial Germany ended WWI with and with which Nazi Germany entered WWII. Because of its period and condition it will be a significant addition to the advanced collection.
