National Arms No 2 Derringer 41 RF W/ Ivory Grips

This is one of the unusual National Arms Company No.2 single shot derringers made in Brooklyn, NY from 1865 to 1870. It features a 2-1/2 barrel with blade front sight, rear sight notch in hammer, engraving, silver plating on the brass frame and steel barrel, spur trigger, and beautiful antique ivory grips. It functions perfectly while the bore has some scattered moderate pitting, lots of strong, sharp rifling and grades Antique Very Good. The large button on the opening latch has been replaced with a small screw back in antiquity and the silver plate is thought to be non-factory. The Ivory grips are completely sound and have the beautiful age characteristics typical of antique ivory. There is slight tiny bubbling in the silver plate here and there. If you were sitting across from Bat, or Doc, or Wyatt at the poker table you might catch a glimpse of something like this in their vest pocket.
