Colt Trooper MK V 357 Mag 6” Nickle 99% Not Python

In 1982 the Trooper MK V was the premier offering of Colt’s new MK V line which was a significant improvement over previous designs (MK III). The MK V was based on a new ‘V’ frame, similar in size to the ‘K’ frame and they did away with the sintered iron MK III lockwork in favor of cast parts which improved the trigger action considerably and, with a shorter hammer fall, lock time was diminished also which further improved accuracy. On the exterior the Python style vent rib was added making it as outstanding a looker as it is a shooter. This example features a 6” barrel, red ramp front sight, fully adjustable white outline rear sight, matte finished sight plane wide hammer and trigger, nickel finish and smooth grips with gold Colt medallions. It comes with a generic S&W factory hard case. It retains about 99% nickel with a light cylinder line while the bore is a perfect mirror with strong, sharp rifling and the grips have only 2 small handling marks (both on the butt). The Trooper MK V is fast approaching the status of the Python especially with today’s manufacturers having made the decision to use MIM parts, these fine wheelguns become the last superbly made and finely tunable revolvers on earth.
