Matching 91/59 Mosin Nagant 8X54mm Carbine Not M38 375

The Russian M91/59 was made at the height of the cold war by modifying the 91/30 Mosin Nagant and is the last iteration of the famed 1891 design. This one started life at the Izhevsk arsenal in 1943 and was modified by shortening the barrel to about 20Ē and milling off the rear sight range numbers above 1000 meters. It has not been shot since being modified and still has preservative grease in it as well as CAIís hang tag on the trigger guard. All serial numbers match (receiver, bolt, stock, butt plate and barrel). It retains 100% blue, the bolt is 100% bright, the bore is mostly smooth and shiny with strong rifling (we scrubbed out the grease and then used a Hawkeye bore scope which found only very light, thinly scattered pitting under the blue) and grades at Very Good to Excellent (closer to Excellent) while the stock is completely sound with a notable lack of handling marks for an arm such as this. A really top flight condition 91/59 carbine thatís will be a striking show piece on the wall or at the range.
