Ithaca 5E Single Barrel Trap 12 Gauge Shotgun 1930

This Ithaca 5E was made in 1930 (SN 402137) and features a 34 vent rib barrel (0.6975 bore at the muzzle) with ivory mid and front beads, case colored frame with 80% engraving coverage and gold inlayed game birds, very nicely figured walnut stocks with fine checkering, beavertail forend with ebony inlay, monogram plate on the toe line (unengraved) and Ithaca ventilated recoil pad. LOP is 14-5/8 DAC is 1-3/8 and DOH is 1-3/4. It retains about 97-98% original blue with some very thinly scattered light scratches and tiny rust spotting while the bore is a perfect mirror, the frame retains about 98% case color and the stocks are completely sound with thinly scattered light to moderate handling marks with one more pronounced at the upper right middle of the forend (see photos) and some natural age grain checking on the butt (see photos). Lock-up is tight as a vault (tested with the forend removed) and 100% on-face while the lever comes to rest well to the right of center. All serial numbers match.
